Self-Transcendence 6 & 10 day race

The link below is to the site for the race I am running in starting tomorrow,if you click on it you should be able to see how things are going.we had a decent turnout for the 2 mile race this morning,on a cool but bright sunny end of April day.I am pretty much ready to go.

I have spent the last few days test running my new shoes,and have finally decided which ones I will take out to the race with me.The weather here has been very changeable and although it can be quite pleasant during the day,it has been cold at night.I will be running in a mutiday race which lasts for 6 days.The idea is to accumulate as many miles as you can during this period of time,and this can be quite challenging.I will post a link on Sunday morning,the day I start the race,so that you can check on my progress if you want to.

So it seems that Barcelona will play Arsenal in the Champions Lge Final,it should be a very interesting match.My flu is still hanging around just a little,but my energy levels feel good right now.I will be running in a 6 day race at the weekend,and a 10 day race which will go on at the same time started today.I will post a link to the race the day before I start,so keep looking.

There was a problem with my ISP yesterday so I could not post.I am still using dial up but hope to go broadband very soon.This afternoon I watched Arsenal go through to the Champions Lge Final,it was a very interesting game with Arsenal giving up a penalty in the last 2 minutes and then had there goalkeeper save it.For you none soccer fans out there I know this is really boring,oh well.

It was my turn to tend the gate at the local tennis ground today,and it was raining all day,so it was pretty quiet except for lunch time.It did stop raining just before I finished,and I managed to get a run in with Utpal.I have managed to try out one of my new pairs of running shoes and they feel good.

Started out with rain this morning and once again it is cold.I had to officiate at the 2 mile race.Then after breakfast I went shopping,I planned to buy 1 new pair of running shoes but bought 2 at half price.There were some thrilling soccer games in the UK,Arsenal drew 1-1 with Spurs in the league,and Liverpool beat Chelsea 2-1 in their FA Cup semi-final,all good stuff.

Once again the weather here in New York has turned cold,but is still quite pleasant with a temp' of around 60f.I changed the shoes I walk to work in and already the pain in my knee is going away,so those shoes will have a new home in the bin.

What can I say ,it's 80f out there,and my right knee is bothering me a little,must check the shoes I'm wearing. 

I also hit my 1400th viewing of my blog yesterday.I don't know if I mentioned it before but my cough came back after almsot 3 weeks.It is a little different this time,not so annoying,and I think it will go away more quickly.I came home to watch the second half of Arsenal's 1-0 victory over Villerealle in the firt leg of their Champions League semi-final,a really great game.

It seems that this is the 300th posting on my blog since I started it 10 months ago.I am posting the cover of my Children's picture book in celebretion,I plan to continue for some time so I should make many more milestones. 

Today is a cool spring day,with me working just a few hours I got to enjoy it.It is of course monday which is also laundry day.The daughter of one of my friends in Serbia is having her 19th birthday ,so I just want to say.HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARAMI!!!

Well it's sunday ,it's easter and it's that kind of a day.Laze around and enjoy the weather.Utpal and I ran this morning,the longest run we have done in weeks,I have the feeling I will be ready for my race coming up,well I am always ready in one way or another. 

The change in the weather brought my flu back just a little,but today is supposed to nice and warm.Helped out at the race again this week,about 250 runners.Oh! happy easter to all those that follow the Gregorian calender.

After my posting yesterday I got a phone call from the telephone repair dep't and someone actually came out while I was at home and finally fixed my phone.It was a beautiful sunny and warm day yesterday with the temperature reaching into the high 70's f, Today it is still mild but overcast and rain showers sprinkle rain every once in a while.My running is finally coming together after my bout of the flu,so spring is sprunging.

I hate to sound like a broken record,but yesterday my ohone went off again,I even lost the dial tone.I made an appointment for a repair guy to come between 8am and noon today,then 1/2 an hour ago everything came back,hope it lasts this time.Wish me luck,maybe it is time to change my phone system.

Hopefully this is the last episode of the phone company saga.I made an appointment for between 2 and 6 this afternoon.When I got home from work after a few hours this morning,my house mate told me the repair man came at 9 am and he doesn't know if he did anything,but the phone seems to be working now , and I don't know if someone will come this afternoon.They wonder why people are switching to other services,for all I know it could be the change in the weather that has made the phone work better.

These are some friends I encountered on my trip in Bosnia.The morning was cold 37f when I went for my usual sunday run with Utpal,but the day has turned out quite nice. 

It's a rainy morning in New York.I helped out at the 2 mile race,there were about 200 runners today.My illustrator is in town and showed me a 3D animation of one of my ducks walking,just 4 seconds long but amazing.Someday we hope to have an 8 minute movie.

So the saga continues,15 minutes after it appeared that my phone was fixed it was bad again.The struggle goes on to see if it can be resolved.I have figured out how to get by with my limited resources,and will continue to post as well as I can.Hopefully more photo's soon.

So I've been having problems with my phone for the last few days,I made an apointment for a repair guy to come between 1pm and 5pm on friday.I get a call at 11am this morning that the technician is at my house,he changes the outside lines,but when I get home the problem is still there,at 7:30 I get an automated message saying my phone should now be working properly and I will get a cerdit for the time that it wasn't.What a great country!

It turned really cold and started to rain today.I watched Arsenal beat Juventus in uefa champions league 1/4 final.I am having a problem with my phone system,hope to get it fixed soon.

The day here in New York is kind of like it was in sarajevo when I took this photo,overcast and rainy,but the view there was so much better. 

Can you believe it, just 1 week ago while I was in Slovenia the clocks went forward 1 hour,and last night here in New York they did it again.Managed to go out for a run with my buddy Utpal,not too long but ok.The weekend continues to be spring like.Let us see what the week ahead will bring.

Sometimes it ok to make a left turn to get where you want to go in life.So it is Saturday and I decided not to run the 2 mile race this morning, I want to give myself a little time to recover my breating before I race.I have a 6 day race coming up in 4 weeks and want to be in good shape.My beloved Wolves lost there second staight game today.
